DAY 01: Delhi to Dharamshala

Arrival in Delhi and drive towards Dharamshala. On arrival, check in at the hotel and rest for some time. In the evening, you can stroll around the McLeod Ganj market, which is filled with Tibetan shops, cafés, and handicrafts. Enjoy the cool mountain air and soak in the Tibetan culture of the place. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing in Dharamshala and McLeod Ganj. Start with the Dalai Lama Temple, an important spiritual center for Buddhists. Then visit Bhagsu Waterfall and Bhagsunath Temple, which are located close to each other. Later, see St. John’s Church in the Wilderness, a beautiful old church surrounded by deodar trees. If time permits, you can also visit the Dharamshala Cricket Stadium, which is one of the highest cricket grounds in the world, and the Norbulingka Institute, known for preserving Tibetan art and culture. Return to your hotel in the evening and relax. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

After breakfast, proceed to Dalhousie hotel for check in. After getting fresh- Go out for lunch at garam sadak.  Enjoy a relaxed lunch at a restaurant along Garam Sadak, savoring local flavors, also explore local shops at garam sadak. After that visit St. Francis’ Church and St. John’s Church, immersing yourself in the historical ambiance. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Today proceed for Khajjiar sightseeing (Subject to road & weather conditions). Flow through a mesmerizing experience of the vast emerald green meadow of Khajjiar with its thick forested slopes of deodhars & the stupendous mountain views. Explore Khajjiar. Partake in activities like zorbing, horse riding, or simply relax by the lake. After lunch at khajiar drive to Chamba, known for its ancient temples and scenic beauty (approx. 1-hour drive from Khajjiar). Visit the Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Chamba, a complex of ancient temples showcasing exquisite architecture. Explore the Chamba market for local handicrafts and souvenirs. Overnight Stay in Dalhousie.

After breakfast check out from Dharamshala head toward Amritsar. In afternoon visit wagha border for flag march ceremony, before that you can have lunch at shahi quila restaurant – India’s last Tourist Restaurant where Indo Pak fences can be seen while in Shahi Qila. Later on come back to hotel & check in to the hotel. Dinner & stay at hotel.

After breakfast, check out from hotel, Visit the Golden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib). Allow ample time to explore the complex, including the Amrit Sarovar (holy pool), the Akal Takht, and the Sikh Museum. Partake in the langar (community kitchen) experience. Visit the Partition Museum, a poignant reminder of the human cost of the partition of India and Pakistan. Explore Jallianwala Bagh, the site of the infamous 1919 massacre.explore the local markets, such as Hall Bazaar or Guru Bazaar, for traditional Punjabi clothing, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Also have local delicacies like Amritsari Kulcha, Chole Bhature, Lassi, and Jalebi. Visit the Durgiana Temple, a Hindu temple resembling the Golden Temple. Visit remaining places of Amritsar and later on in evening you will be dropped at airport.
